Property information

Casale Catania is a non-hotel facility located on Via Messina, near the Borgo di Ognina and its mythical Port of Ulysses, mentioned by Homer in the Odyssey and by Verga in his Novellas. All travelers who entered and left this part of the city traveled along today's Via Messina, which has always remained one of the most important and ancient access routes to the city of Catania. At the beginning of the 1900s, the building architecturally classified as a Casale, with attached wells and stables, was surrounded by thriving citrus groves. Today, the entire area is totally urbanized and annexed to the city. In fact, the ancient citrus groves have given way to a residential area, full of restaurants and pizzerias, shopping centers, fitness and wellness centers (for example the Virgin Active Gym), but also hospitals and nursing homes (for example Cannizzaro Hospital in Catania, Catania Center for Medicine and Surgery, Carmide Nursing Home, Gretter Nursing Home, Catania Polyclinic, etc). The positioning of the structure is strategic for the reception of any traveler and in particular for the relatives of hospitalized patients.
