Casale Coccinella is a converted farmhouse which in the last century was occupied both farm workers and animals. At the time we purchased it there was just a pile of stones in the middle of the ruin and a massive fig tree in the middle of what is now the lounge. The renovation involved rebuilding the property on the original footprint using modern earthquake-proof methods but with the original stones on the outside. There are magnificent views down on the Nera valley. The location is quiet but 300m down the road their is a lovely agriturismo holiday centre where our customers enjoy free use of the swimming pools. It also has a fantastic restaurant serving traditional Umbrian food and great pizzas
Bob and Judy are both retired and residents of Northumberland. Bob worked in the banking industry and Judy retired in 2015 from working in education as a specialist adviser on autism. They have been visiting the area for 20 years and are passionate about Umbrian food, wines and culture. Both are equally passionate about the fortunes of Newcastle United!
Where to start. Stunning countyside. Great food and wine. Quiet but with excellent swimming and restaurant facilities very close. Umbria is a great location for food, culture and wonderful walking country.
