A typical Aeolian located 50 meters above the sea, about 1 km from the harbor and the village. From the house, you reach the village by walking in 20 minutes Casasvedese with its big garden, belonged originally to a farmer who emigrated to Australia in the 1950s. The house it was inhabited from 1973 to 98 by a former solo ballerina , She attended school of art in Torino and decorated the house with Italian art and her prize winning paintings. So you will enjoy Aeolian nature and art by becoming a guest in casasvedese. The landlord knows Lipari and the Aeolian islands since 1975. So he can also be your island mindtrek guide. The house is eco friendly with careful recycling and low consumption of water and electricity.
The landlord is a retired Natural Sciences steacher who was born in Sweden, grew then up in Torino, Italy (from 1972 and Lipari (from 1975. He worked 30 years as a K-12 teacher. He is a world wide web publisher now studying Aramaic. He loves to share his Aeolian island knowledge and as a cofounder of the group “Greens Eolie trekking” he will be your mindtrek guide on the islands if you want.
Casasvedese is surrounded by gardens and the nearby houses are owned by Lipari islanders who the host has known for many years. The host will introduce you to them.
