Company information

I was born on 1956 here in the Casentino Valley and my 150 people family still lives within a 5 miles range . IT consultant and UNIX OS specialist was my profession before opening the first B&B ever in Florence City-Centre. The DeiMori B&B became soon famous worldwide . On 2013 I've decided to pre-retire myself back in the valley I adore and close to my mum Beppina and my sister Daniela and her family. The three of us run the accommodation at the villa LaMassa

Property information

We are spectacularly located in a prominent elevated position in a South facing valley which brings long hours of sunshine and a favourable micro climate. The house is approached by a lane which winds its way from the main road, crossing over a river by an ancient bridge and then winding upwards through olive groves to reach the property. There are extensive private wooded grounds which drop away from the house giving a real sense of privacy and peace.

Neighbourhood information

Casentino is the first valley of Arno river, an historical valley first Etruscan then part of the Graducato di Toscana. The medieval touch is everywhere here with the many castles and ruins and towers or with even more Romanesque churches. Poppi si the most known village because of its best preserved castle but Castel San Niccolo' has got a fascinating castle as well. The Casentino is also a famous peculiar fabric typical from the valley which is also famous for its genuine food and delicatessen. Stone curving, wrought-iron, wood works and artisan making are other hand-craft and well known activities. Cycling, hiking, golfing, tennis playing, horse riding and sightseeing the many monasteries and churches are activities that will give all kind of visitors a lot of pleasure.
