Monte di Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella has characteristic streets and scattered houses and some of these, the oldest, are still clearly visible with small courtyards and portals typical of the Lessinia area. At the far end of the village is the Austrian fort Mollinary, built in the mid-19th century during Habsburg rule with stone from nearby quarries. If you are in Sant'Ambrogio, you cannot miss visits and tastings in the historic wine cellars, walks in the historic villages, such as Gargagnago (called the Borgo dell'Amarone) or Monte (called the Borgo del Forte), Ponton, the Borgo sull'Adige.
