La Naca della Taranta is a small Salento company founded by Francesca, a law degree and Bocconi Master's degree who decided to recover old family properties and make them places where those visiting Salento can find a magical and comfortable place. Three structures: La Naca sul Mare in Santa Maria al Bagno, overlooking the Ionian Sea, the Naca della Taranta, a B/B in the heart of Salento in Galatina, the city of pasticciotto and tarantism, and finally an extraordinary historic residence opposite castle of Otranto, on the Adriatic Sea, overlooking the Otranto canal.

Part of a group of typical Salento houses, this historic home in Otranto - renovated by a famous local architect - can be reached through the picturesque narrow streets of the historic center of Otranto, in a quiet pedestrian area.
Its three terraces overlook the entire surrounding landscape, from the port to the Aragonese Castle, the Torre del Serpente and the Romanesque basilica.
Lying in the hammock or on the soft seats on one of the terraces, you can easily enter another world, enraptured by the sweet scent of the sea and the warmth of the sun.
The house has two bedrooms, one bathroom, two kitchens – one inside and one outside – a barbecue and three fully furnished terraces for relaxing and meeting your friends.
The first bedroom is double with a double bed whose back is a window facing east and a large wardrobe.
The second is a double room with a bunk bed and a wardrobe. Both in the living room entrance and in the internal kitchen there is a double sofa bed.
All the furnishings were made to measure by local artisans and he took care of the stone and wood workings.
The house is equipped with:

Otranto, in Salento, is a real jewel rich in history and natural beauty. We can start with a visit to its historic centre, dominated by the imposing Cathedral, famous for its incredible floor mosaic. The Aragonese Castle is another must, with its walls that tell centuries of history. Not to be missed is the walk along the lively promenade, with a view of the lighthouse and the harbour. The nearby beaches, such as that of the Alimini Lakes, offer crystal clear waters and golden sand. Finally, a trip to the Grotta della Poesia, not far away, offers a unique swimming experience in a natural cave in the open sea.
