Casa Elisio is a former winery with approximately 180 years of history, located in an exclusive, secluded location approximately 110 meters above sea level on the edge of the national park. The dirt road between Innamorata and the paved road to the iron ore mine can be a bit of a challenge for inexperienced drivers. Therefore, we recommend approaching from the top; descending is easier than going up. Please enter GARDENELISIO in Google Maps and exit at the "Punto Panoramico" sign onto our private road.
Casa Elisio was purchased by my parents as a ruin in 1973 and has been privately occupied until now. Since 2025, both the ground floor and the apartment on the first floor have been bookable via Booking. Rolf Neresheimer, co-owner and the second generation, is in charge of the rentals.
The southern tail fin of the island of Elba (seen as a fish) has all the shops and a variety of restaurants, with Capoliveri as the nearest town, about a 10-minute drive away. Mount Calamita, with its countless trails for both experienced and relaxed mountain bikers, is a touring paradise. The iron ore mine at the southern end is a highly worthwhile destination, not just for mineral prospectors. There's a diving school in Morcone, and boat rentals, a surfing school, and a pizzeria and restaurant in Innamorata.
