My room is located in one of the characteristic caruggi—the narrow Ligurian streets that speak of centuries of authentic life. It's a simple yet welcoming accommodation, perfect for those seeking a genuine experience, far from standard hotels and immersed in the beating heart of Vernazza.
We're right below the Doria Castle, just steps from the sea, the train station, and every iconic corner of the village. The rooms are located in historic buildings, where time seems to have stood still: no elevator, just a few steps—think of it as your own little "secret passage" to a journey back in time. And trust me, it's worth it: the view, the atmosphere, and the location will reward you with every step.
Sleeping here means living for a night (or more!) as people once lived: amidst the scent of focaccia, voices echoing through the alleys, and sunsets that color the ancient stones. An experience you won't find anywhere else—and one you'll cherish forever.
We've no sea view, but you'll sleep in the perfect center town, under tha Doria Castle.
I look forward to sharing a little piece of Vernazza with you, just as it really is.
Last but not least, my room is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties or with lots of/heavy luggage.
Hi! My name is Gianna, I'm a woman, mother, and grandmother, born and raised in Vernazza, in the heart of the Cinque Terre. My family has lived here for generations, and today I'm happy to open the doors of my home to those who want to discover the true soul of the town.
Vernazza is a jewel nestled between the sea and the mountains, where time seems to have stood still. With its narrow alleyways, pastel-colored houses overlooking the harbor, and the Doria Castle watching over it, it is one of the most iconic villages in the Cinque Terre. People don't just come here to see: they come to feel, taste, and experience.
During your stay, I recommend:
🍝 For a traditional dinner with a sea view: try Ristorante Gianni Franzi or Vulnetia, where you'll find authentic Ligurian dishes and fresh fish of the day.
🍕 For a quick meal or a tasty pizza: Pizzeria Ananasso Bar is perfect, even for a sunset aperitivo overlooking the harbor.
🍷 For a more sensory experience: I recommend Cinque Sensi, a little gem where you can taste local wines and take pesto classes, discovering the flavors of Liguria in an authentic way.
