For cycling enthusiasts, the main road that runs across the hillside at around 300 meters above sea level is a favorite route: a 35 km stretch of so-called “eat and drink” road, a local expression that refers to its endless series of gentle ups and downs. This scenic ride leads to the city of Arezzo, passing through fairytale villages such as Loro Ciuffenna, with its ancient working mill, and the enchanting medieval hamlet of Il Borro, now home to artisan workshops and historic residences. The art cities of Arezzo and Florence are both easily accessible by car or by train from Figline Valdarno station, making this area an ideal base for exploring the very heart of Tuscany, where nature, culture, and tradition come together in perfect harmony.
