My accommodation is close to splendid panoramic views, restaurants, the city centre, art and culture and parks.
The apartment is suitable for couples, lone adventurers and families (with children), with the possibility of requesting a cot for the child.
The apartment is on the second floor of a building, located a few meters from the historic center and the tourist port.
At the base of the building there is a paid parking lot which is very useful for loading/unloading luggage.
Nearby there is the possibility to park for free.
At the time of check-in it is possible to request the device to access the urban parking discount by leaving the cash deposit which is returned when the device is returned
HI!!!
I'm Federica and I live in beautiful Tuscany precisely in the heart of Maremma.
Why rent my apartment?
Because I love meeting new people and being able to "pamper" them during their stay, recommending: clubs, beaches, excursions, restaurants and to be able to make them spend an unforgettable holiday!!!
LA CASA AL MARE is located in the Fortezza district, where we can admire it from the balcony of the apartment.
The tradition of the maritime palio dates back to 1937 and is held every 15th August.
It is a regatta that puts 4 boats in competition, with four rowers and coxswain, representing the four city districts:
CROSS: called crusaders, has in the coat of arms a gray seagull on a red field above, a red Sant'Andrea cross on a white field below;
FORTRESS: known as fortress bearers, has in its coat of arms, on the left the golden Spanish fortress on a red field, on the right a golden rampant donkey on an amaranth field;
PILARELLA: called pilarellai, has in its coat of arms, on the left a golden amphora on a red field, on the right a light gray dolphin on a midnight blue field;
VALLEY: called vallaioli, the colors of the Valley are light blue and white, and the ax and the lighthouse appear in its heraldic coat of arms.
For those entering Porto Santo Stefano for the first time, seeing the SPANISH FORTRESS, which dominates the whole town from above, is a spectacle.
It was built between the end of the 16th and the beginning of the 17th century by the Spaniards, in the heart of the State of the Presìdi, in the place where the Santo Stefano Tower once stood, built by the Sienese during the 15th century.
The intent was to intensify the coastal defense system of the Monte Argentario promontory and to protect the small residential nucleus which at that time consisted of a few houses and a source of very pure water, very precious for ships making short stops in shelter of marine currents.
Today the Spanish Fortress is home to two permanent exhibitions:
Submerged Memories and Shipwrights; temporary exhibitions are also organized during the year, during which artists of various kinds (painters, sculptors, photographers) exhibit their works.
