Your Hosts: Rodolfo and Carolina – A Life Between Germany and Abruzzo, with Their Hearts Always in Mozzagrogna
Behind La Casa delle Orchidee lies a beautiful story of life, love, and returning to one’s roots. It’s the story of Rodolfo and Carolina, a warm and genuine couple who have made hospitality their true mission.
Both originally from Mozzagrogna, they spent their youth surrounded by the simplicity of rural life and the enchanting landscapes of Abruzzo. Like many others, they eventually moved to Germany, where they lived and worked for over thirty years, building a family and a life filled with hard work, but also great joy and accomplishment.
Despite the distance, the call of their homeland never faded. So, once they reached retirement, they decided to return to where it all began—bringing with them a lifetime of experience and the desire to share the beauty of their native village.
Today, along with their son Vincenzo, Rodolfo and Carolina manage La Casa delle Orchidee with passion, love, and a deep sense of hospitality. Every corner of the house reflects their story, their attention to detail, and their heartfelt wish to make every guest feel truly at home.
They both speak Italian and German, and are happy to welcome guests from all over the world.
Those who choose La Casa delle Orchidee will find more than just a comfortable place to stay—they’ll meet a warm-hearted family who loves to share stories, give local tips, and help guests discover the hidden treasures of the area.
With Rodolfo, Carolina, and Vincenzo, every stay becomes an authentic experience—filled with genuine smiles, stories from the heart, and the comforting scent of home.
