周辺エリアの情報
The apartment overlooks Piazza Giovanni Verga 8 and from the terrace you can admire the Cyclops Riviera, characterized by the homonymous islands and the island of Lachea.
The legend tells how this small archipelago was formed following the launch of these huge stones by the cyclops trying to stop Ulysses' escape after killing Polyphemus. Certainly a fascinating story, which joins the atmosphere of the place and the events narrated at the end of the 19th century by Giovanni Verga in the novel "I Malavoglia", the story of a family of fishermen who lives and works right here, on the Riviera by Aci Trezza.
Nearby we recommend you to visit the seaside village of Aci Castello and the homonymous castle dating back to the Norman era, from where you can admire a breathtaking view.
Moving towards Catania historic center, about 20 minutes away by car, you can visit some of the main points of interest in the city and the entire region.
Do not miss the Piazza del Duomo in Catania, the Sant'Agata Cathedral, the Popular Markets, the Massimo Vincenzo Bellini Theater and the Benedictine Monastery.
