We, Amanda and Corinne, live on site and you will most likely find us working in the vegetable garden or grounds surrounding the apartments. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about the area, offer suggestions for day trips or restaurants or to help with making dinner reservations. We're here if you need us but you won't notice us if you don't.

We have four beautiful apartments in a lovingly restored traditional stone building that was once an olive mill. Located in the Fino Valley, half way between the mountains and the sea, the apartment offers peace and tranquillity in the Abruzzo countryside with views stretching as far as the Adriatic sea. It is the perfect base for exploring the region - from the mountains to the sea and medieval villages to national parks.

We think Abruzzo is truly a hidden gem in central Italy and we want to share it with you! Nestled between the Adriatic coast and the Apennines and untouched by the mass tourism seen in other parts of Italy, Abruzzo is a paradise for nature lovers, foodies and history lovers alike. A place where independent travellers can immerse themselves in the slow rhythm of the countryside and experience an authentic slice of Italian life, where the local food and wine traditions are strong, and the people are fiercely proud of their traditions and land. With three national parks - Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo Lazio e Molise, Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga and Parco Nazionale della Majella; 15 blue flag beaches and 26 of its villages on the list of Italy's most beautiful villages. There really is something for everyone. We are located in the quiet rural hamlet of San Giorgio which is a short drive from the medieval village of Castiglione Messer Raimondo. The location is perfect for those who wish to explore the Italy's greenest region, Abruzzo, on foot, by bike, motorbike or car. It’s a picturesque 45 minute drive to the sea or you can find yourself at the foot of the Gran Sasso mountains within 20 minutes. The area is popular with both cyclists and hikers wanting to experience the wild and untouched nature and make the most of the national parks and local hiking trails. There are a number of nearby medieval villages to explore, such as Castiglione Messer Raimondo, Bisenti, Montefino, Castilenti and Cellino Attanasio. And the nearby market towns of Atri and Penne are lovely for a wander about and experience the slower pace of life the locals here live. If you are looking for something a little more lively you will find a mix of culture and arts within the historic walls of Teramo, while Pescara, located on the coast, has an excellent city centre with good shopping, plenty of cafes and restaurants and a vibrant nightlife.
