Step into the past at La Torre, a 14th-century residence within Casaforte Bergum, a fortified hamlet nestled in the peaceful Friulian countryside near Cividale, Udine, and the Collio wine region.
With arches, loopholes, niches, beamed ceilings, and original terracotta floors, this unique home preserves its defensive past while offering modern comfort.
Ideal for 4 guests, the Tower is furnished with period pieces and features 2 bedrooms (a king-size double and a twin with monastic-style beds), 1 bathroom, 2 living rooms, and a charming study distributed on 3 levels.
The dining kitchen takes up an entire floor, with panoramic leaded-glass windows, a large wooden table, and a fully equipped cooking area.
Every detail has been chosen with care—from cool linen bedding to handpicked tableware. Outdoors, enjoy the walled courtyard dominated by a monumental mulberry tree, or unwind in the 7-acre park under oaks and sequoias.
A separate laundry space, Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi, independent heating, two stoves (wood and pellet), and on-site parking are all included.
At Casaforte Bergum, nature is part of the experience: no pesticides are used, and garden visitors are always welcome.
About Me I'm Alessandra Serafini, and I feel deeply connected to this place—my family has lovingly cared for the Casaforte di Bergum for over three centuries. I inherited my passion for architecture and design from my mother, which has guided me in restoring and furnishing the tower with original period pieces and great respect for its history.
When I’m not welcoming guests, I spend time tending to the garden and caring for the animals that live with us—especially our horses and dogs, who are an integral part of this home’s spirit. Living with my family in another building on the property, I’m always nearby and happy to make your stay in Friuli truly memorable, with insights into the area’s most authentic and unforgettable experiences.
