It’s not a large center, but it offers everything you need for a rejuvenating holiday, with nearby beaches and scenic trails. How to get here: • Nearest airport: Orio al Serio (Bergamo). • Nearest train station: Lecco (Como San Giovanni is 1h30 away). • I recommend arriving by car, preferably a small one, as the lake’s characteristic roads are narrow and typical of the area. What to see and how to visit the villas on Lake Como: Lake Como is famous for its historic villas, many of which have been the sets of famous films.
