Live a unique experience in a former Coast Guard outpost, situated in one of the most hidden and beautiful beaches on the eastern coast of Sicily. The sea and the sound of the waves will accompany you throughout your days. The building is located in a protected, wild and uncrowded naturalistic area. Being a former Coast Guard outpost, the apartment is located on the beach, in a particularly panoramic point that allows you to look at the whole Sicilian bay: from Stazzo to Taormina and, on days with good visibility, you can also see Calabria. The building is accessed via a typical country road built in the 19th century with ancient lava stone slabs: I recommend a slightly taller car, like the Panda. The beach is characteristic of the east coast: it is a gray beach, made up of gray "cocole" (medium/large sized pebbles) in lava stone. The beach is of particular geological value also due to the presence of cocolas composed of the famous "cicirara lava": they are characterized by the formation of minor bodies with a whitish color that stand out on the clearly darker colored background. At about 900m there is the village of Carruba di Riposto, where there are many local shops where it is possible to buy local products; in the main square there is also a bar well known for its excellent arancini. A few minutes by car takes you to Riposto where there is a tourist port and an excellent fish market where you can buy very fresh and high quality fish. The apartment is an excellent starting point for visiting the eastern coast of Sicily: the motorway can be reached in just 10 minutes. From the motorway it is possible to reach Taormina in 25 minutes; Catania in 20 minutes; Syracuse in 45 min.

The apartment is located on the first floor of a former Coast Guard outpost. Therefore, it is a construction placed on the beach in a lookout position within a wild and uncrowded beach. It is accessed via an ancient and very typical country road. At the beginning of the road (and, therefore, 900 m from the apartment) is the village of Carrubba, where it is possible to taste local products in the typical shops of the village (bakery, fruit and vegetable shop, butcher, small supermarket, pharmacy and a very famous for excellent arancini); in the square there is also a bar well known for its excellent arancini with sauce. The Conforama shopping center is about 5 km away, with shops and a large supermarket. A few minutes by car takes you to Riposto where there is a tourist port and an excellent fish market where you can buy very fresh and high quality fish. The apartment is an excellent starting point for visiting the eastern coast of Sicily: the motorway can be reached in just 10 minutes. From the motorway it is possible to reach Taormina in 25 minutes; Catania in 20 minutes; Syracuse in 45 min. The apartment has a free private covered parking. We recommend renting a tall car, such as the Panda, as the apartment is accessed via a typical Sicilian country road built in the 19th century with ancient lava stone paving stones.
