Welcome to Apartment Gioiella
Family-Friendly Apartment in Umbria | Sleeps 2 - 4 | Use of garden, BBQ, with Views | Pet-Friendly
A top-floor retreat with some of the best views in Umbria and Tuscany. Perched above the villa, it offers sweeping vistas across olive groves, hilltop towns, and rolling countryside — the perfect backdrop for your morning coffee or sunset aperitivo. You will not be sharing the villa or any spaces with anyone unless you have brought them along!
Inside, you’ll find a stylish and comfortable space designed for slow, easy living. With two cosy bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a light-filled open-plan lounge and dining area, it’s ideal for couples, small families, or solo travellers seeking a relaxing escape.
We’ve added thoughtful touches to make you feel truly welcome — from quality linens and local decor to a welcome guide full of our favourite places to eat, explore, and unwind. Self check-in is simple, and our friendly cohost is nearby if you need anything during your stay.
Whether you’re here to relax or explore, this apartment offers comfort, beauty and that ‘living like a local’ feeling from the moment you arrive.
The apartment sits in Gioiella, a peaceful Umbrian village surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and sunflower fields. It’s a quiet, authentic spot with a local café-bar, bakery, and pizzeria just a short walk away — perfect for your morning cappuccino or a relaxed evening meal. From your base in Gioiella, you can stroll scenic country lanes past olive trees and farmhouses, or take short drives to some of Italy’s most beautiful hilltop towns. You’re just 10 minutes from Lake Trasimeno for swimming and sunset aperitivo, and close to Cortona, Montepulciano, and Chiusi — each rich in history and charm. Wine tasting, olive oil tours, Etruscan ruins, and seasonal food festivals await in every direction, making this the perfect place to soak up slow, soulful Italian living.
We’re so glad you’re here.
Hosting at Villa Gioiella is a real joy for me. This place holds a special kind of magic — from the morning light over the Tuscan hills to the scent of wild herbs in the garden, it’s somewhere to truly slow down and reconnect.
As a travel writer and photographer with a deep love for this region, I’m always happy to share insider tips or help you plan a day that goes beyond the guidebooks. We also produce small-batch olive oil from our grove, and if you’re visiting in autumn, you might even catch a glimpse of the harvest in action — a truly special time to be here.
Whether you're here for long lunches, local adventures or just the peace and quiet of the countryside, we hope you’ll feel the same connection to this land that we do. If there’s anything you need, just let us know.
Warm wishes,
Debbie
