Welcome to Terracielo located in the quiet heart of Penne's historical centre! Penne is between the mountains and sea so you have many options to explore! You'll enjoy a restful sleep in a large room on a comfortable queen-size bed, located on the second floor of a modernised 'character' home that is thought to be 600+ years old. This is a comfortable, lovely room in a quiet, private home (I only host one group at a time) in the oldest area of the historical centre.
PLEASE NOTE: Your bathroom is not in the room, it is located on the floor below and it is for your own private use, NOT SHARED.
You also will have the possibility to enjoy the sunny terrace and you will be ready to discover the beautiful region of Abruzzo!
Guests will also have access to free WiFi, a guest lounge and their own modern bathroom. Vouchers for a free breakfast at a local bar are available on request.
Are you travelling with your canine family members? Sociable dogs are also welcome. Please make sure they have been treated with anti-parasite drops or are wearing a collar for this purpose, and check that they are parasite free.
AND PLEASE NOTE: I share my home with my friendly, quiet dogs which are in communal areas of my home only. If you are not fond of pets, my property may not be suitable for you. Please consider this when making a reservation.
There is parking nearby on the street. Spaces are usually available.
For hospital patients: The house is approximately 10 minutes away (on foot) from the hospital. If you have mobility issues please note that my street is cobble stone and there is a short slope you must walk to arrive here.
I am a veteran home-stay host, born in central Canada. I formerly worked in journalism and I am a Shiatsu Therapist, product designer an artisan that loves to refinish and recycle all sorts of furniture and objects. That said, I have curated rooms in my home especially for guests in a modern rustic style to reflect my love of nature, recreation, travel, gastronomy, art and the region of Abruzzo!
My townhouse is located in Penne's oldest quarter, it's within walking distance to services, bus station, restaurants, cafes and wine bar!
If you have any physical problems with mobility, please be aware there are stone streets in the area and also inclines.
Penne Lake is 3km away on foot, so you can plan hikes + picnics close to home.
