Villa Cardano is located in the natural reserve Parco Spina Verde on a hill overlooking the city and Lake Como. The villa was completely refurbished in 2018 and offers a high standard in its two flats for rent. The studio is on the ground level and has direct access to the overgrown garden.
Free gated parking is provided in the yard close to the studio. Access to the yard and the studio is via a code lock which provides easy check-in and access at any time of the day or night.
The spacious studio offers a living, dining and sleeping area and a separate bathroom on about 50 square meters.
It is equipped with a double bed (180x200) with two separate mattresses, 30 MBps WiFi, an ASTRA-satellite TV with more than 100 channels in different languages, a modern fitted kitchenette with a refrigerator, an induction stoves with 2 ceramic hobs, a sink, and an espresso machine. The separate bathroom has a shower, a WC, a sink, and a bidet.
The large glass windows are overlooking the terraced garden which you can enter through the rear door.
San Fermo with some restaurants and bars is in walking distance but walking to Como is not adviced due to missing sidewalks.
I am looking forward to welcoming you at Villa Cardano. I want to share with you my passion for a place which is most of the wonderful spots on earth. Also only a few kilometers away from Switzerland, Como offers everything which makes Italy attractive: A wonderful landscape, Mediterranean climate, charming people and probably one of the best if not the best food and wine in the world.
Lake Como is a pearl among the northern Italian lakes. The exclusive location near Milan, the mild Mediterranean climate, the proximity to the Alps and the beautiful villa and park architecture have led to many celebrities (eg George Clooney, Donatella Versace or many football professionals of the famous Milanese Clubs) have settled.
In contrast to Lake Garda, which is stormed by tourists in the summer, Lake Como and especially the city of Como with its approximately 80,000 inhabitants is still an exclusive holiday destination.
The almost car-free old town of Como, which is separated from the rest of the city by an intact medieval city wall, offers beautiful alleys for strolling through beautiful and sometimes exclusive shops, restaurants and boutiques.
With the rack railway you can drive on the local mountain from Como to Brunate and from there in about 30 minutes walk to the lighthouse with a magnificent view over the lake.
On a day trip, you take the ferry or speedboat to Bellagio which served as a model for the casino in Las Vegas of the same name. Other excursions go to Villa Balbianello which was featured in movies like Star Wars or James Bond or Villa Carlotta.
