The apartment is accessed via around 95 stairs to climb down from the state road, Via Guglielmo Marconi, the State Highway 163, "Amalfitana", that runs behind the village.
The town is divided in three urban districts: Chiesa Nuova, Fornillo and Li Parlati;
Our home is in the Upper Positano.
Positano is known as the most vertical town in the world for its stairs and alleys.
The town center is reachable on foot in about 15 minutes or by bus in 10 minutes.
You can get to the main beach located below the center in approximately 20 minutes within walking distance from the property.
The apartment is not situated on the road, but below at the entrance of the town.
You will find the staircase, that will take you down to the property in 5 minutes by about 95 steps, on the other side of the Hotel Palazzo Marzoli, Via Guglielmo Marconi, n° 334, Positano, in the highest neighborhood of the town.
The best way to get from Naples to near the stairs leading to the house is to book a car service with driver.
I am in contact with a local company and it is no problem for me to help you organize a transfer for arrival and departure.
I am available for all the necessary information.
I can also offer my help to organize a tour of the Amalfi Coast with a driver or a boat tour.
With narrow alleays and stairways, cascading down to the beach, this part of Positano is very attractive.
At the top of the stairs, less than 5 minutes away from the property, you will find two Minimarkets, a tobacconist, an electronics store, the Internazionale bar, two restaurants.
As concern the local transportation in the town:
there is a bus that leaves from the center, Piazza dei Mulini every 30 minutes and arrives in the Chiesa Nuova neighborhood, on the main road Via Guglielmo Marconi after about 10 minutes.
The bus has a sign and it is marked “Interno Positano”.
There are other lines of the same company, however they arrive in others districts of the town.
The cost of the tickets is cheaper buying before to board in the Bar Internazionale up the stairs on the right, after the Town hall Square.
The stop is named “Chiesa Nuova”; It takes its name from the neighborhood and it is located not far from the Bar Internazionale, where the one way street via Pasitea begins, outside the tobacconist, after the corner.
The bus takes 10 minutes to get from the center to the stop.
For example, if it leaves at 9:00am, it will arrive at the stop at 9:10am.
Nearby the house there is the beach of Fornillo; this is where the locals go to escape the tourist crowds.
The "Spiaggia Grande" can be reached on foot in 20 minutes or by bus in 10 minutes to the centre of the town; then continuing for just over 5 or more minutes within walking distance.
On the way to the Spiaggia Grande you will pass by "Piazza dei Mulini", the last stop of the local bus.
