Our tryst with Italy began in 2022 when my husband and I moved to Roma. Drawn by a deep appreciation for architecture and design, I had long dreamt of finding a place that resonated with our vision of a home that seamlessly connects with its surroundings. Upon discovering the enchanting city of Modica, we were captivated by its timeless charm and picturesque landscapes. It was here that we stumbled upon a truly inspiring house – a sanctuary that embraced the essence of Italian living, with breathtaking views of the city from every angle. Instantly, we knew that this was more than just a house; it was the embodiment of our dreams, a place where we could create a life filled with warmth, beauty, and connection. As working professionals living in Rome, we had led a life of travel, having lived in Turkey, Bangladesh, Kenya, Ukraine, and various other places. Our love for travel and multicultural experiences inspired us to create a place that is welcoming and inclusive, reflecting the diverse tapestry of our own lives. With each visit to Modica – over 15 in total – we poured our hearts and souls into designing and transforming every corner of the house, drawing inspiration from the places we had visited and the experiences we had shared. Little did we know that our journey would lead us not only to a new home but to lifelong friendships that would enrich our lives in ways we never imagined.
