Villa Pietra Serena is a great base for exploring the surrounding UNesco world heritage sites of Lucca, Pistoia and itself is located in the beautiful 10 Castelli hills, an area of beautiful vistas and ancient fortified hilltop villages. It is true Tuscany. The views from the house are simply stunning. The villa itself is an ancient farmhouse (with tower) that has been modernised internally and features high quality modern fixtures, fittings and furniture throughout. The kitchen is well fitted out with crockery, cooking utensil and equipment. There is a washing machine and great modern bathrooms. The house has dedicated fast wifi; there is a library of cookery books, novels, DVD’s and even some toys for children. We want every family’s stay to be remembered. The infinity edge pool (14m x7m) has been completely rebuilt in 2020 and has both a deep and shallow end. The garden is full of fruit trees including cherries, plums, figs, apricots and kiwis mean every day in the sun is fun.

Vellano is an ancient village in the heart of a Unesco world heritage site in Tuscany. The house is perfectly positioned for trips to Lucca, the sea to the eat and Pistoia/Florence to the west. The house has beautiful views from the garden to hilltop towns and is super tranquil. Pescia is an authentic Tuscan town with good shops and supermarkets. There is a small deli in the village itself. Montecarlo (LU) is 5 mins from Pescia and has great wineries and restaurants. You will need a hire car to explore.
