BARAKA specialise in sustainable tourism development and community based tourism mainly in Jordan. The company's focus has primarily been on consultancy work; however, we have recently opened our own project in Um Qais that implements much of our work. Consultancy documents are not always implemented, and so this project in Um Qais was a way for us to administer our sustainable and community based tourism work fully. The B&B is the hub of the project in Um Qais and we really want to share it with those willing to make the trip.
The BnB has been stylishly fitted with furniture created by the surrounding community, and it reflects a modern rustic look of the Northern Jordanian culture. It is where you can pick up a book and kick back for hours slowing down to the pace of the village, eating organic delicious traditional meals and soaking in the village vibe. We hope that you feel at home when visiting our BnB in the Jordanian countryside.
宿泊施設の情報
We renovated this old building as our office (first floor) and accommodation on the second floor. Beit Al Baraka has five comfortable bedrooms, furnished with hand crafted beds, high quality bedding and good views to wake up to (and sometimes a rooster alarm). There is a large common area with comfortable couches, a bookshelf with a wide selection of books and magazines, a fireplace and dining table. The apartment also has two shared bathrooms, which each have a shower.
Beit Al Baraka has a few good relaxing or reading spots up on the roof or in the garden with great view of the Ottoman village, the Golan Heights and the Yarmouk Nature Reserve. On a good day you can see Mount Hermon in Lebanon too.
You'll be staying in the heart of the village, and a walking distance from the archaeological site as well as several experiences we offer our guests such as hiking, biking, beekeeping, basket weaving and cooking classes. (Ask us more about this to reserve a spot at least 24 hours before your visit).

The Bed & Breakfast is a 2 minute walk from the Archeological site and visitor centre. You can view the Sea of Galilee and full panoramic views from our roof. It is also a five minute walk from Yarmouk Nature Reserve which is home to the last remaining deciduous oak forest in Jordan. You're in the heart of the village so you may hear the neighbour's rooster in the morning, and sometimes in the evening.
**It's also important to note that there is no ATM machine in Um Qais. Please plan ahead and withdraw money before arriving to Um Qais.
