Nagaya is a Japanese traditional collective house where several independent residences are gathered in one building. This nagaya was built around 100 years ago and has witnessed the changes of the various eras. Our house "CONTEXTED - 宙 SORA" is a hideaway which remains its historical vestige and has been updated to our existing life today. While utilizing the compact space to the maximum, the big iconic stairs are functioned as floors to step onto, benches to sit on as well as bedrooms. Our house "CONTEXTED - 天 TEN" is a hideaway which remains its historical vestige and has been updated to our existing life today. The unique spaces pilled up in layers create complex sequences where you can immerse yourself as you walk around or climb up and down. Our house "CONTEXTED - 玄 GEN" is a hideaway which remains its historical vestige and has been updated to our existing life today. It has the main spaces with simplicity and wabi-sabi, and the compact tearoom - another universe apart from ordinary life.
