Iwakawa Minshuku is a 25-minute drive from Unesco World Heritage Site Jomon Sugi, and from the gorgeous Shiratani Unsuikyo Ravine. Yakushima Airport is a 22-minute drive away, and the hotel is a 15-minute walk from the Port of Miyanoura. Air-conditioned rooms come with a tatami (woven mat) floor, a low table, seating cushions and traditional futon bedding. Shared bathroom facilities are for private use, and offer soap and shampoo. The Minshuku's shared kitchen is furnished with a stove, microwave, fridge and kitchenware. Clothes can be dried on the rooftop or in coin-operated clothes dryers.
