Kichaka is the perfect getaway for families and friends looking for a unique bush experience. Situated on the slopes of Maparasha Hills in the Northern district of Amboslei, Kichaka is an easy 2-hour drive from Nairobi and 2 hours from Amboseli National Park. Accommodation: Kichaka camp has four double safari tents with ensuite bathrooms, and two ensuite family pods, each containing a queen-sized bed and 2 single beds. Hand soap, shower gel and toilet rolls are provided. For larger groups and company retreats, we have another property (Kichaka Villa – 6 guests) which can be booked together with the camp. Lounge/Kitchen/Dining: The charming thatched banda overlooking the pool contains an open plan lounge and dining for guests to relax in and a fully equipped kitchen with 6 gas burners, a small gas oven and a solar chest fridge. Spices, salt, washing up liquid, dish towels and sponges are provided. Our borehole water is safe for cooking and to drink. but most guests prefer to bring their own bottled drinking water. There is a charcoal barbecue and pizza oven conveniently placed outside the kitchen and charcoal may be purchased on site. Meals can be taken inside the banda or enjoyed alfresco by the pool. The camp is off the grid, but there is mobile network and phones may be charged at the office during daylight hours. Kichaka Team: The camp is self-catering, and guests cook for themselves, but there is plenty of time to relax thanks to our dedicated team who are on hand to assist with food prep and the washing up. The staff include House keeper, Kitchen assistant, Walking tour guide, Night guard. Kichaka is home to your hosts Tricia & Pete, a flock of sheep, several beehives, and our resident Impala, Dik- Dik, Eland, Bush buck, Warthog and Hyena – as well as some amazing birdlife!
