The house was completely renovated in 2025 and now offers modern amenities, including a hot shower, a Western-style toilet, comfortable new mattresses, and strong Wi-Fi. Our team cleans the room daily, and the price includes free soap, towels, and a bottle of water. You can relax on a lounge chair while enjoying stunning river and mountain views from the balcony, or visit our riverside restaurant for a meal or a drink.

Oud is a local guide born in Muang Ngoi who now runs the Rainbow Guesthouse with his family. He knows everything about the village and its surroundings and is always happy to answer your questions or provide any information you need. His wife, Douang, is an excellent cook and manages the kitchen, where she prepares delicious local dishes and refreshing drinks—perfect for hot days.

Muang Ngoi Neua is a small riverside village nestled between karst mountains at the confluence of the Nam Ngoi and Nam Ou rivers. Here, you can hike to nearby tribal villages or embark on multi-day treks—up to three days—through the surrounding mountains. Spend a night in a homestay in a Khmu village or even camp in the forest. You can also kayak along the river and take in breathtaking views from one of the many scenic viewpoints. Along the village’s main road, you'll find all the facilities you might need, from laundry and tailoring services to hairdressers, massages, and weaving classes—not to mention plenty of restaurants and bars.
