Kitesurf in Negombo From May-Sept its possible to kitesurf in Negombo with winds from 10-18 knts so a 12 to 14 m kite is needed with some storm weather fronts coming through on some days so a 9m kite sometimes is needed. Conditions are not for beginners though and experience is needed to get through the shore break. Browns Beach is the best option for a great wide beach for launch and landing.
