The building was constructed in 1890. In 1923, it was purchased by Riga entrepreneur and property owner Žanis Celms – also the founder of the "Latvijas Raugs" yeast factory. During the Soviet era, the property was nationalized and later returned to the family after Latvia regained independence. Today, it is managed by his descendants as a self-service apartment hotel – where history meets modern comfort.

The property is located in the central part of Riga – on Brīvības Street, with convenient access to public transport. The Old Town can be reached in about a 30-minute walk or a short tram/trolleybus ride. We offer a variety of rooms – from fully equipped apartments with a kitchen and private bathroom to economy rooms with shared facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Paid parking is available in the courtyard. Free street parking may also be available nearby (subject to availability). As the building is on a central street, you may occasionally experience some typical city background noise.

Right next to our courtyard, bordering our property, is “Kafijas Namiņš” – a small, cozy café offering freshly baked breakfast rolls, salads, pastries, and aromatic coffee. The tempting aroma often reaches our courtyard. Next to the building you’ll find a variety of stores and services: – Rimi (grocery store), – Drogas (cosmetics and household goods), – Latvijas Balzams (liquor store), – Santa Barbara – a local shop with a wide selection and a bank ATM, – Benu pharmacy. Just a 10-minute walk away are two large shopping centers – Domina Shopping and Teika Plaza – with many stores, cafés, and services. Across the street is Lielie kapi – a vast, historic city park covering 22 hectares, ideal for peaceful walks.
