Proprietor and art creator Tony was the main inspiration behind the idea of BOCO around which the art installations and decor will mesmerise and intrigue guests and viewers. His detailed conversion of the house is carried forward in the passion to ensure that guests feel at home away from home. BOCO is certainly not a museum with untouchable art pieces – on the contrary Tony and his knowledgeable team will carry you with them in their enthusiasm and passion, with the will to please, and to help make your stay a beautiful and memorable one.
Tony himself is a bit of an art buff, reflected throughout the house with several exhibited pieces from his private collection.
If guests are so willing, Tony will gladly enjoy that evening glass of wine with them. His wine cellar project at level -2 is still in the initial stages and maybe you might be invited to have a look at the works there. You might also suggest some interesting idea to him, who knows, as Tony is a very good listener.
The BOCO journey as being experienced by BOCO man and his meander via the art installations is still happening and you too can be BOCOlized and contribute to this evolution.

BOCO Boutique® is a 6-room Art Hotel in the historic Three Cities, situated on Valletta Grand Harbour. Set in an early 20th century Art Deco townhouse with an eclectic decor and warm hospitality, BOCO Boutique welcomes guests who'd like to experience the traditional Maltese way of life. Several centuries older than Valletta, this area is where history itself was battled and written.
The Cospicua ferry terminal to Valletta and then possibly also to Gozo is located merely 250m away from the house, and this fast, reliable and inexpensive crossing across Grand Harbour is an experience in itself.
The large panoramic penthouse balcony is the climax of the hotel, where guests are mesmerised by the sheer beautiful view of The Three Cities sprawling beneath them and with Valletta as a backdrop.
The name BOCO is coined from BOrmla, which is the medieval name of the town, and COspicua derived from the title Città Cospicua bestowed in 1722 to Bormla by the Order of the Knights of St. John.
Proprietor, manager and art creator Tony, together with his team will personally greet you, and they will leave no stone unturned to fulfill BOCO's motto: "Guests are welcome, but we may part as friends"®.

BOCO Boutique is about 15 minutes away from Malta International Airport, and is located in one of the most beautiful and tranquil streets of Bormla, also known as Città Cospicua, one of the Three Cities on Valletta Grand Harbour. This provides very fast, pleasant and easy accessibility to the capital Valletta which is just an 8 minute inexpensive ferry crossing away.
The Three Cities themselves are older than Valletta and there are many important historical places to visit only a few minutes walking away from BOCO. These include the Maritime Museum, the Inquisitor's Palace, Gardjola Gardens Fort St. Angelo as well as other impressive fortifications.
Prehistoric temples, the Hypogeum, beaches and other attractions are also easily accessible.
The location itself is tranquil and predominantly residential, but there are also many lovely and genuine restaurants etc. just 5-15 minutes walk away.
Apart from the ferry and water taxis across the harbour, Bormla is also well connected with a good bus system as an alternative to the inexpensive and efficient taxi services we have. Using the Gozo Fast Ferry also makes getting to our sister island easy and quick.
