Hi there, we are Marko and Saul, your hosts. Saul and I met when we were both working in the hospitality industry in Malta back in the day. After recently moving to Gozo, we have decided to start working together to bring our touch of hospitality to the sister island. Splendid Guest House is a 100-year-old historical Gozitan house, located in the heart of Victoria, Gozo's quaint capital city. This house has just been completely refurbished to give our guests a taste of tradition combined with the comfort that a modern house has to offer. The house has views of the old city centre, inculding distant views of Citadella, from the front terrace. The back terrace overlooks some of the mature gardens hidden within the neighbourhood. The guest house is surrounded by plenty cultural attractions, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Gozo's main bus terminus is just a few steps away. Each bedroom is equipped with air conditioning and access to an ensuite private bathroom. They are also supplied with fresh linens and towels. The house enjoys a common area which includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining, and living room.

Victoria is the capital city of the island of Gozo. Victoria embraces both the Citadel, the ancient fortified city at the centre of the Island, and the surrounding town, Rabat, divided in the old and more modern part. There are many places of historical and cultural interest in Victoria. A visit to the Citadel is a must, including the The Cathedral Museum, the Museum of Archaeology, and the Folklore Museum amongst others. The centre of Victoria Independence Square. In the mornings, there is an open market that shares the square with several open air cafes. The magnificent St.George’s Basilica stands in a smaller square just behind the square in the heart of the old town. The web of narrow streets around St. George’s are the oldest in town and well worth a walk around.
