About this property
Offering an outdoor pool, year-round outdoor pool and barbecue, Cocoon Maldives is located on the pristinely stunning island of Ookolhufinolhu in Lhaviyani Atoll. The resort has a private beach area and water sports facilities, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. The property is designed by Daniele Lago, chairman and designer of Lago. All rooms are surrounded by green vegetation, clearly visible through the glass partitions that connect with the open-air bathrooms, which in itself creates a sense of connection with nature, in cool contrast with the expanse of the turquoise sea. Lago Talking Furniture project powers interaction with the furniture, connecting to each guest's smartphone device through a wired chip in the furniture, to activate a direct interaction with the resort, to learn about themed evenings or indeed to share images and reviews of the experience.

The fine print
Airport transfer:
The Cocoon Maldives is accessible with a 30-minute seaplane ride offering the mesmerizing birds-eye view of dotted islands of Maldives.
Seaplane Transfer charges:
Children (between 2 – 15.99): USD 260 per child for a round-trip transfer - Children (below 1.99 year): complimentary.
Due to the aviation laws to operate seaplanes, every tourist arriving with international flights landing in the Maldives before 15:30 shall be transferred to the hotel via a seaplane on the same day of arrival. Clients arriving with flights landing after 15:30 may stay in a hotel closer to the airport and we shall arrange the seaplane transfer the following day. In order to organize a seamless transfer arrangement process and to avoid an unfortunate circumstance, the resort requests to provide the international flight details at least 7 days prior to the arrival date.
Children policy:
Children under 2 years will eat for free based on the rules and meal-plan accompanied by an adult, excluding alcoholic beverages. Maximum 2 free kids per unit paid.
