Casa Sol features comfortable accommodations, a lush natural setting, and dramatic ocean views. Our ten rooms are arranged throughout the property to provide a sense of privacy with balconies, open air living spaces, and gardens.
When you are ready to leave the comforts of your room there are Inviting public spaces and pools to enjoy as well as Playa Camarón where you can relax with your lounge chair in the sand under the shade of your umbrella.
Genuine hospitality is a Casa Sol tradition and staying with us can be like staying with friends. Begin your day with breakfast in the palapa and finish with a glass of wine in the company of friends and like-minded fellow travelers as the sun sets. Our super friendly staff is committed to making your stay a memorable experience.
Casa Sol is an oceanfront hillside property in an area that is popular for guesthouses because of the spectacular views, the ocean breezes, and the tranquility that comes from being just far enough away from the noise of Zipolite even though the town, its restaurants and bars, are a short walk away.
Craig and Jorge met on vacation in Puerto Vallarta over 20 years ago, which was to begin their journey together in the hospitality industry. In 2004, they purchased a home in the vibrant neighborhood of Condesa in Mexico City which would eventually become the beautiful Red Tree House, Mexico City’s number one bed and breakfast. In their sixteen years of hosting guests they have learned many lessons and have honed their hospitality skills. You will often hear them say, “We don’t just rent rooms, we provide and experience.”
Zipolite is different. We love the difference but it may not be right for everyone. Some visitors may find Zipolite small, unsophisticated, and lacking in activities. Others come once and are hooked. They become part of a loyal following of travelers who return year after year attracted by the rustic, still unspoiled setting. Zipolite is growing but it is still very much an authentic Mexican beach town. You will not find stylish Mexican-themed resorts, fancy restaurants or streets filled with tourist gift shops. No one will try to sell you a time share.
Zipolite draws a diverse crowd including many naturists who come to enjoy one of Mexico’s most famous nude beaches. Playa del Amor has the largest concentration of nudists but on any section of the beach in Zipolite you are likely to run into a naked person.
There is a significant gay presence in Zipolite, often couples on holiday or traveling with friends. They are a welcome component of our social mix.
Zipolite and the neighboring towns are centers for yoga, massage and various healing arts.
