Our canal house is located on the 17th century canal belt, which is an Unesco World Heritage site. The house is a listed monument and was built in 1790. It has been renovated many times over those years. We have created a contemporary luxury home with respect for the history of the building right in the heart of Amsterdam's historcial center. We welcome all guest that enjoy and respect our house as well as our house rules. Guest that are looking or a place to party, or that would like to smoke inside please look further our property is not suited for that.
We (the proprietors) are both professionals living and working in Amsterdam with our own business'. Mart has been working in the hospitality & internet industry for over 30 years and has his office on-site and is available for questions during office hours. In January 2020 we're opening our first restaurant in Amsterdam, IK Indonesian Kitchen, on Herengracht 287. Just a couple of minutes walk away from our canal house. You're just very welcome to enjoy some delicious Indonesian food while staying with us.
Our location is very central in the historical center. We're just around the corner from Spui (with it's medieval "Begijnhof" and Amsterdam Museum) and a minute walk away from the floating flower market. The 9 streets shopping area is just across the bridge to the right. Because of this central location you can easily walk to Museum area in about 10 minutes, dan square in 8 minutes and the central station in 15 minutes.
