Married to Michiel, and mother of two boys. We love discovering new countries and meeting people. In 2016 we traveled around the world for a year. We live in a beautiful farm surrounded by pastures and hope to let other people experience the relaxing and friendly atmosphere of our village. Beets is an idyllic village centrally located between Hoorn and Purmerend and just 35 minutes away from Amsterdam. In the village is a swimmingspot and a cafe which serves simple meals. Three days a week the local bakery delivers bread and pastries to your door. From Beets there are a lot of bike and walking routes. Around Beets are musea, a windmill museum, cheesmarkets, the Markermeer (big lake) with swimming and sailing opportunities, Volendam, Edam and lots of outside activities and beaches just a 10-30 minute ride from the house. We have three adult bikes and two childrens bikes that you can borrow. The express buss from Hoorn to Amsterdam passes Beets, and also stops in Monickendam, Edam and Volendam.
