Welcome to the 'Huis met de krul'! [trans: “House with the Curl/Swirl”]. We offer our upstairs apartment for a wonderful stay. The apartment consists of a living room with some kitchen facilities, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 2 balconies (front and rear). The master bedroom has a king size bed (180x200 cm); bedroom no. 2 has 2 single beds (80x200cm). If only 1 person sleeps in bedroom 2, one bed can be stowed away under the other. The apartment features among others: TV, DVD player, washing machine, dryer, hairdryer, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee machine. You share the front door and hall with the host, but we usually use the back door. Directly behind the front door is the staircase leading up to the apartment: it is separate from the rest of the house. We live downstairs ourselves, so you have a lot of privacy.

We are a family of 4: Cathalijne, Cees and our children Boris and Rosa. We love to travel ourselves, it's always special to meet people from other cultures. We are happy to welcome you! Cathalijne speaks Dutch and English; Cees also speaks German, Spanish and a little French.

Centrumeiland is a new area in Amsterdam. We had our house built in 2021, like many people in this neighborhood. The area is still under construction. Fortunately, the bedrooms are not on the street side, so construction noise in the morning is not going to wake you up. There are supermarkets and shops nearby. Ijburg harbor is within walking distance, where you will find restaurants and outdoor cafes. And finally, don't forget the city beach! It's is only a 5-minute walk away. You can sunbathe, swim and surf. Amsterdam Central Station is 20 minutes away by tram: tram line 26 offers a direct connection.
