Welcome to The Cabana, one of the accommodations of Ubuntu Lake Houses, a cozy and fully renovated accommodation with sauna and a lovely hot tub, where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset view over the Vinkeveense Plassen. Located on one of the headlands of the Vinkeveense Plassen, The Cabana offers a large garden that is completely fenced in, so you can enjoy total privacy. Moreover, our rooms have updated beds for an even more comfortable stay. Enjoy relaxing by the water, complete with a large table in the garden for breakfast or dinner, lounge chairs and a BBQ. In front of The Cabana are 2 lovely lounge chairs, with your wine in your hand you can look out over the lakes and maybe see the rare black swans. For a fee you can rent a boat or SUPs (Stand-Up Paddleboards) from us, so you can fully enjoy the refreshing Vinkeveense Plassen directly from our location. At the beginning of the Harbour you can visit us on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a drink and a snack from the small menu. There are also numerous options for ordering via home delivery. You will find that you will lack nothing during this perfect get-away. There is a key safe at the accommodation that allows you to check in yourself and decide what time to arrive, after 3 pm. We share all information regarding your stay 5 days in advance. We share the check-in code with you at 3 pm. If you want a different check-in or check-out, ask for the possibilities. (Parties are not allowed in this accommodation).

Vinkeveen is a beautiful village, renowned for the Vinkeveense Plassen (Vinkeveen Lakes). It's a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, such as sailors, kayakers, and divers, drawn by the clear waters and diverse underwater flora and fauna. In addition to water sports, Vinkeveen also offers picturesque hiking and cycling routes. The area is known for its natural surroundings, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoying the outdoors. Vinkeveen is conveniently located near Amsterdam and Utrecht, making it attractive for those seeking to combine nature with urban amenities, attractions, or nightlife. Furthermore, two supermarkets and a variety of dining options are nearby, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for our guests. Accessibility: Motor vehicles cannot directly access the accommodation, allowing you to enjoy total tranquility on the edge of the Vinkeveense Plassen, surrounded by nature, birds, and silence. An 800m walk from the parking lot will lead you to this prime location. Upon arrival, our convenient cargo bike will be available at the entrance, allowing you to transport all your belongings to this beautiful holiday destination. We provide 3 complimentary bicycles for easy travel to and from the parking area. Additionally, 10 large carts are available.* Parking: From October 1st to March 31st, free parking is available on the road in front of the harbor. Outside of this period, there is a maximum parking duration of 2 hours within the parking disc zone between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. Paid parking is available in a parking lot opposite the park . For a fee, we offer the option to pick you up with a golf cart and transport all your luggage directly to the accommodation. This service is available from Monday to Friday between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday between 11:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
