You are on vacation here in a beautiful part of the province of Groningen. In the nearby village of Garnswerd is a nice swimming opportunity with sunbathing lawn. Visit the tea factory in Houwerzijl (4 km), the fishing village Zoutkamp (6 km), the DoeZoo in Leens (8 km), the adventure park Waddenfun in Wehe-den Hoorn (18 km), the National Park Lauwersmeer (16 km), the seal station in Pieterburen (18 km) and of course the inviting city of Groningen (22 km). Also Lauwersoog is easily accessible, from there the ferry goes to the island of Schiermonnikoog. The island is a national park and offers a surprising variety of landscapes and beautiful sandy beaches, which are among the widest sandy beaches in Europe. Rental only for holiday lets.
