All of the design choices here are traditional without compromising on functionality, as the kitchen has everything you need to cook delicious meals throughout your stay. Note in particular the log walls in the living room, which have been painted pink, and the distinctive wall decorations. In summer, you can swim in the sea by the rocky cliffs. The island also has beautiful forest areas that offer a great setting for both hiking and jogging. You can head to Sandvika where there is a beautiful lawn, jetty and places to fish for crabs. Have a delicious meal at Brød og Vind, or head to Lyngør if you want to explore the nearby islands. You can also take a short drive to the charming southern towns of Risør and Tvedestrand. Meet Kjetil We are a married couple with four children and one dog, and have owned our cottage for 20 years since we bought it from our mother-in-law and father-in-law. The cottage was built in 1861 and has a lot of history. In recent times we have built an annex. The cabin means a lot to our family, and we are here every summer. We sail, windsurf, drive a boat, cook and pick apples in the fall. We like to bring friends here.
