Lofoten – Where Mountains Meet the Sea
Lofoten’s dramatic peaks, turquoise waters, and picturesque fishing villages make it a bucket-list destination. Hike Reinebringen or Ryten, kayak among silent waters, fish for Arctic cod, or chase the northern lights and midnight sun. Don’t miss historic villages like Reine and Nusfjord.
Gravdal – Your Gateway to Adventure
Gravdal has gone from being a small trade center on the Vestvågøy island to becoming mostly a residential village. Today, there is a grocery store, kindergarten, primary school, and several small businesses. Nordland Hospital and the Nordland School of Fisheries are both located in Gravdal and have been major economic centers of Gravdal for a very long time, along with the Gravdal port. The more than 100-year-old Buksnes Church, which was built in 1905 in dragestil style, is located in the village.
Nestled on Vestvågøy, Gravdal offers:
Sundsheia Hike – Stunning views just minutes away.
Haukland & Uttakleiv beaches – Among Lofoten’s most beautiful.
Lofotr Museum – Explore Viking history.
Easy access to Leknes for shopping.
A perfect blend of serenity and exploration!
