This is mountain paradise and a fantastic place to enjoy alpine skiing on piste or in the large offpiste areas, alpine touring in the surrounding mountains, cross country skiing or kite skiing. Then enjoy the magnificent view from the terrace or next to the fireplace. During the summer months you can explore Jotunheimen, experience many historic on "Kongevegen", bike on old gravel roads deep into the mountains or experience the fantastic trout fishing. You have a fully equipped kitchen and space to seat 12 around the table with a fantastic view over the nearby lake and mountains. A separate TV room is included with 55" Smart TV, free WiFi and various family games. A separate storage room has lots of space for storing and drying your equipment. Washing machine, dryer, shoe dryers are also available. This is super close to the the ski resort with only 100m to the pistes.

Hi, My name is Axel and I love all sort of mountain activities. Me and my family of 5 love coming up here to go alpine touring, kite skiing, cross country skiing in the winter. Or biking, trekking and fishing in the summer. When we do not use it ourselves, we try to rent it out as much as possible. I am available at any time in case you have questions. This is a winter and summer paradise. The ski slopes are not the largest, but it is endless offpiste alternatives next to the slopes and there is almost never any queue on the lifts. It is also relatively cheap with day passes compared to other ski resorts. You can also go cross country skiing in long tracks both above and below the treeline. The area is also perfect for kite skiing. You can start in the upper part of the cabin area, take the lift or down on Otrøvatn just below the cabin. There are also good alternatives for long distance kiting, so just contact the host for further info. The area is also at the edge of Jotunheimen and there are endless options for alpine toring. Close to the cabin you have many smaller peaks with about 700m, but if you drive a bit you can get into the heart of Joutunheimen and ski 2000m peaks. The host can suggest numerous routes.
