「Amazing house on tiny island. Spectacular surroundings and a great location for getting into Svolvær and out to surrounding areas. Loved the upstairs open plan lounge/kitchen area: beautiful views of the sea and mountains.」

The apartment is located on beautiful Svinøya, approx. 10-15 minute walk from the center of Svolvær. At the beginning of the 20th century, Svinøya was Svolvær's center. Own bakery, barrel factory, bunkers, krambu and fishermen's cabins were to be found on Svinøya. The art painter Gunnar Berg built a studio in the 1880s on Svinøya. The studio is modernized and preserved.
Svinøya is today a popular excursion area for both local and visitors. At the end of the pier at Svinøya you find "Fiskerkona", a 4.5 meter high sculpture made by Per Ung. She stands at the end of the pier at the entrance to Svolvær and greets the fishermen and also worried if her husband will return safely.
