Situated on a sloping section at the top of Chalet Crescent with amazing views of the mountains and across the Hanmer Springs Forest, this property is great for groups, or a couple of families coming together for a holiday. It is just a 10 minute stroll to the centre of town and thermal pools. The living area offers a sunken down lounge area with plenty of space to relax along with a Smart TV. Spacious decks surround the living area allowing you to enjoy the summer nights along with a BBQ outside along with a chill out area in the garage featuring a pool table and TV with Chromecast perfect for entertaining. This home accommodates 8 guests with two double beds and 2 single beds in the house along with a self contained sleepout downstairs offering a double over single bunk, perfect for the teenagers to have their own space. Please note the self-contained sleepout is only accessible from outside via its own entranceway next to the garage.

Neighbourhood information

Hanmer Springs is a lovely small village set in an alpine environment on the edge of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 400 metres (1300 feet). This provides a crisp clear climate, with snow falling during winter on several occasions. The geothermal nature of the area has provided the beautiful Thermal Springs Reserve in which to relax, and it is second to none other in New Zealand. The combination of the colder climate and the thermal pools normally sitting at 25-42 degrees Celsius, or 77-18 degrees Fahrenheit is both invigorating and relaxing. The lucky guests get to soak in the thermal pools when it is snowing (for no extra charge) - how lucky are they?
