There is loads to do in the area. Many beaches, safe for kids to swim with playgrounds. There are cut shops and cafe's nearby. Kids will love playing in the treehouse at the house or climbing in the branches of trees at the beach. There is also market every Saturday in Ostend full of local fare, crafts and collectables. It's an easy bus road or drive - or if you really want to, you can walk.
