With complete privacy and exclusive use of the Retreat, Cascade Creek Retreat is the perfect getaway for couples or up to six people. Exclusively yours during your stay, you will enjoy a true “Retreat” without the distractions of technology – no cellphone coverage, internet or television, and powered completely by solar and hydro power. The Retreat is situated with 180 degree views of native bush on a large working sheep and beef farm and boasts abundant native bird life from the very front door. Our guests enjoy the numerous walking tracks through bush and over rolling farmland which leave right from the Retreat, and no other people or dwellings for kilometres. Romantic and secluded for couples for a special occasion and excellent for friends and families to really get away from it all. The two steaming hot outdoor baths provide a real treat for our guests to relax in and enjoy overlooking the native bush valley while listening to the cascading creek tricking nearby. A stay at Cascade Creek Retreat allows guests to really interact with nature all whilst being surrounded by complete luxury and seclusion. You will emerge from your stay revitalized and energized having enjoyed quality time with those around you and reconnecting with the beautiful nature that surrounds Cascade Creek Retreat.

In season, spot trout that come up the river to spawn Bring your horse or mountain bike and ride various farm tracks, local roads and hills. Take a day trip to the Catlins – try surfing or kayak to spot the yellow-eyed penguins and playful seals. Discover the Otago peninsula by bicycle or drive out to Taiaroa Heads to observe the Albatross in their natural environment. We are located just 10 minutes off the Southern Scenic Route and within a short drive to Dunedin, The Catlins, and Central Otago
