Built by us ourselves with a finished industrial look using steel which we work with on a daily basis in both our own artwork & custom work. It has a main barn area with 2 x bedrooms sleeping up to 4 guests, the main Bedroom 1 is spacious and has a King Size Bed - Bedroom 2 has 2 x King Single Beds both of these bedrooms have a wardrobe area including shelving & a clothing rail, wall panel heater & ceiling fan . The main barn on booking is for 4 x guests with 1 x bathroom shower, sink , toilet & a heated towel rail. Dragonfly Barn main living area is open plan which includes a fully equipped kitchen with bar stools , dining table & chairs and a lounge area sofas & comfy chairs, TV & Wood Fire , from this area you have beautiful views down the valley and surrounding gardens , from each bedroom you can view the gardens, woodland and pond . THIS MAIN BARN IS WHAT YOU GET WHEN BOOKING FOR UP TO 4 GUESTS . Outside is a covered veranda all around the main barn which leads to a smaller unit at the side, If ever needed an extra 3rd bedroom is available in a smaller unit next door when booking for a 5th / 6th guest - with 1 x king bed & another bathroom the same as in Main Barn - this 3rd bedroom is used for extra guests over the 4 guests in the Main Barn . A total of 6 guests could stay using all 3 bedrooms if its booked. Around Dragonfly Barn there is outdoor seating to enjoy , a large wooden picnic table, decking with different views of the gardens, there are plenty of large lawns & a large pond set in its own beautiful gardens we are currently putting in walking paths around the natural landscape & woodland areas for all guests to enjoy.
Welcome to Dragonfly Barn we hope you enjoy the barn and surroundings it sits in with its beautiful valley views - I'm Tracey your host & its always great to say hello to our guests during their stay, I'm often seen around the garden doing jobs as both me and my hubby Phil work from our home next door with our own business Xstream Profiles, we have 2 awesome sons Arron & Connor and a wonderful white Labrador Indie who you may get to see - We love living here in New Zealand especially in Kerikeri - Bay of Islands, after moving over in 2008 from The Lake District - Cumbria in the UK.
We offer as much or as little contact as you would like! We do live on site near by and are around most days so we are happy to help you or advise on anything in the area,

Kerikeri Town has lots of wonderful amenities, including supermarkets - mixture of shops - Cafes & Restaurants, plenty of takeaway meals too. You will find great places to visit, The Stone Store & Basin Area, Rainbow Falls & Walking Track, Makana Chocolate Factory - Marsden Winery just a few minutes away by foot / car. We are surrounded by Local Wineries, Golf Courses, Waitangi Mountain Bike Park and Paihia are only 20mins away by Car. The Old Packhouse Market In Kerikeri is a great place to visit especially on Saturdays, as its only local fresh food & locally made Art and Crafts. There are 5 waterfalls in Kerikeri to find and some lovely walks too.
Nearby places which are all only approx. 20/30 mins away, the stunning Matauri Bay Beach, Waitangi Treaty Grounds, visit Russell using the car ferry OR the foot ferry from Paihia, where you can also access all the boat trips out into the stunning Bay of Islands.
A car is good to have for this area, everything is close by and so much to see in and around Kerikeri , Bay of Islands Kerikeri Town Center is a 5-minute car drive away. We are surrounded by Local Wineries, Golf Courses, Waitangi Mountain Bike Park and Paihia are only 20mins away by Car.
