The Wairarapa is one of New Zealand's premium wine growing regions so a visit to a vineyard is a must. Martinborough is on your doorstep - Fraters Escape is a 5 minute drive from the village square, cafes, restaurants and specialty retailers. The local wineries host tastings and many have restaurants open for lunch and dinner as well. Also in the region, a 15 minutes drive will take you to Greytown. A pretty heritage village renown for its shopping hosting fashion boutiques as well as antiques and homeware stores. South Wairarapa has amazing dark sky a must to view from the deck at the end of the day. You will need a vehicle to get to the property
