Situated on 9 hectares halfway between Hot Water Beach (4 kms) and Hahei (4 kms). You will enjoy the peace and quiet of our rural lifestyle property that is elevated with rural and sea views. We are 100 % solar powered and are doing a lot of planting of natives on our property to encourage the native birds back into the area. On a clear night enjoy relaxing under the stars.
There are 2 modern units each with a King size bed and their own ensuite separated by a kitchenette/living area. Because of the shared living room we only book out 1 room at a time but if 2 couples or family are travelling together both rooms can be booked. Breakfast is included which consists of cereals/yoghurt/fruit and bread for toast. We have a BBQ and microwave but no other cooking facilities. There are eateries at Hahei/Hot Water Beach/Cooks Beach and it is 13 kms to the passenger ferry that goes to the township of Whitianga.
We provide spades and beach towels to use when visiting the natural hot springs at Hot Water Beach. To avoid disappointment please check the tide times before planning your visit as the hot springs are only accessible around low tide.
We consider ourselves to be extremely fortunate to be able to call the Coromandel Peninsula our home and enjoy informing our guests on what there is to do locally. There are alot of beautiful short walks and lovely beaches in close proximity. We care deeply for the environment and do alot of volunteer work planting native trees and monitoring of local wildlife.
We are spoilt with a choice of beaches with Hot Water Beach 4 km away with its well known hot springs that are only accessible at low tide. Hahei Beach and Cathedral Cove is 4 km away, Cooks Beach 10 km and further north to Otama, Opito, Matarangi and New Chums to name just a few. Lots of walks from strolls to hard out hikes. Just off Hahei is Te Whanganui-A-Hei (marine reserve) so great for snorkelling, diving, kayaking or to just relax on the beach.
