Keen explorers can also jump off Pepe Bridge, or take a kayak tour from Hot Water Beach to Cathedral Cove, looking out for dolphins along the way. Just over 2 hours from Auckland, Pauanui is one of the most popular holiday towns in the Coromandel. Pauanui enjoys white sand beaches with a surf life saving club and a number of walking tracks including the Mount Pauanui summit track, which will give you stunning views of the coastline and out to the Mercury Islands.
