My dog Perrita is an inside dog. She is well behaved, but still very young and bouncy. If you are not a dog person, I respectfully advise that my property will not be the right fit for you.
I enjoy meeting people and hearing their story. Equally, I respect people's need for privacy. I am an avid gardener and lover of nature. I have my own business in Supply Chain & Logistics Consultancy. Obviously I am also a dog lover. Perrita is my fourth dog, and so named as Spanish for puppy. I am heavily involved in the Climate Action Marlborough Steering Committee, Founder of IDG NZ Supply Chain Hub enabling personal development for greater global change in supply chain, and the NZ Workforce Development Council.
I am often told how at ease and at home my guests feel, and that they have had a "restful" stay. Hosting does come quite naturally to me, and it is always lovely to hear things as above. Thank you for considering my home as your stay of choice.
Quiet neighbourhood for rest and relaxation. Close to all amenities. Restaurants and bars are in the CBD, or Redwoodtown, which are both a 10-15 minutes walk. Strongly recommend you spend some time in the Marlborough Sounds. Lochmara Lodge is a must visit and only a 10 minute boat ride from Picton. There are too many walks in the Marlborough Sounds to mention, but the Snout in Picton, the Queen Charlotte Walkway, and any part of the Queen Charlotte Track are a must if you enjoy outdoor treks - short or long. The Wither Hills at the South end of the town have 2-3 hour walks. You will get a panoramic view across the Province and out to Cook Strait on a good day. Enjoy a cruise around The Marlborough Sounds on the mailboat. Visit Kaipupu Wildlife Sanctuary in the Sounds. The Omaka Aviation Centre co-funded by Peter Jackson is 5 minutes’ drive from here. Walk the Grovetown Lagoon with water wildlife and native restoration.
Of course, the wineries. Harvest Restaurant for lunch or dinner. Vines Village on Rapaura Road is a family friendly cluster of boutique craft like shops. Restaurant, playground, wine tasting, gin and whiskey tasting. The newly built Marlborough Library is a brilliant facility for reading, working, or just relaxing.
